The Working & Teaching Studio of Claudia Lee.

The studio is fully equipped with a 2 lb. hollander beater, whiz mixer, hydraulic press, restraint forced air dryer, vacuum table, assorted mould and deckles, su getas, assorted vats and inside / outside workspaces for both wet and dry works.

Private Studio Time, Classes & Workshops

Artists are welcome to rent studio time to work on personal projects. They will receive technical support and assistance as needed from the studio staff.

Individuals or groups can design custom classes in papermaking, bookmaking, a range of decorative and surface design techniques including wax resist, paste papers, working with indigo and black walnut dyes and making stitched boxes.

Let us know what you’d like to do and we’ll work with you to make it happen. The studio is a wonderful place to come with friends for a play day or to celebrate a special occasion.

Workshops Away From Home

We are happy to consider traveling to offer workshops for groups and conferences. Each year we also teach workshops at various venues and schools.

Visiting The Studio

Here at Liberty Paper we love visitors. We do ask that you call or email ahead to be sure we are open and available.

We work hard to have a nice selection of handmade and decorative papers available for purchase as well as finished artwork and handmade books.

During the last full weekend in October, the artists of Off the Beaten Path Studio Tour in beautiful DeKalb and Cannon Counties of Middle Tennessee open their studios for a free three-day open studio event. Celebrating its 19th year, the tour has grown to include 15 stops with 30 participating artists.  Artists will be demonstrating their craft mediums and offering handcrafted wares.

This is a perfect family outing or weekend getaway!
